Memories of a Lost Vitality

Memories of a Lost Vitality is a video composed of found and generated footage with an original soundtrack.

Eerie and dreamlike, it ebbs between the literal and the symbolic, exploring the unreliability of memory — how western society escapes the realities of the present by projecting fantasies onto a broken past. Fragments, perhaps memories or fantasies, surface within the white plane of the image, into and out of association. Through this drifting, and at times overbearing montage, nostalgia emerges as an ideological haze that obscures material conditions and stifles the possibility of change.
